Stained Glass Transom

Stained Glass Transom

This transom was orphaned in Austin. It's history is unknown but likely dates to the early 1900's. The glass can be dated by it's color and swirled pattern, amber or green low-grade glass, known as "slag", came into prominence during this period. In need of light restoration work, the glass is in excellent condition for it's age, while the wood frame does need some minor attention.
